Thanksgiving Injury Report

Welcome to this short and sweet Thanksgiving edition of the Injury Preview. Because the slate is now shrunken to four teams, I’ll take the time to answer some specific questions regarding the in addition to the Thursday players.

The following players were full practice participants on Wednesday and should have no hitch in their giddy up:

Ezekiel Elliott

Marvin Hall

T.J. Hockenson

The following players have officially been ruled out for the Thanksgiving games:

Kenny Golladay

Danny Amendola

Kenny Stills

Terry McLaurin - Ankle

Much has been made about McLaurin’s ankle but the reality is unless he comes out and is observably hobbled, he should be ready to roll as a full participant of practice on Wednesday. There simply isn’t enough evidence to justify sitting him this week in a smash spot.

Matthew Stafford - Thumb

He was finally a full participant on Wednesday after posting a real stinker of a performance last week. In fact, it was his 22nd worst game of 159 games in terms of completion percentage. It was also his 14th worst of 159 games in yards per attempt. Now, try and tell me the thumb wasn’t bothering him. At the very least, he should be in less pain this week.

Edwin completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy education in 2020. His expertise is in all thing’s orthopedics, injury recovery, and he has a special interest in human performance. Edwin’s vision is to push injury advice past simple video analysis and into the realm of applying data from the medical literature to help fantasy players make informed start-sit decisions.
