New York Jets (+10.5) at Indianapolis Colts — I watched the Jets and Mike White last week and was pretty impressed. I do think everything will be harder this week than it appeared to be last week, but I also think the Colts offense is worse than the Bengals offense. White appears scrappy enough to keep this game close, so while it looks like a trap to me, I’m taking the Jets and the points.
Player Props
Last week: 5-8
Player Props Record: 67-63
Just a brutal week for props in Week 8, as injuries ruined three of them for Antonio Gibson, James Robinson, and Jalen Reagor. I also lost an Aaron Jones prop by 4 yards and Randall Cobb, despite scoring 2 TDs, didn’t get to 5 catches.
My luck on Thursdays has not been good, and nothing really stands out to me for TNF, so I will pass on TNF and focus on bouncing back on Sunday.
Ezekiel Elliott OVER 75.5 rushing yards (-111 BETMGM) — I’d be interested in this one as long as it’s under 80 yards, since Zeke should easily get there barring an injury or something very surprising.
Marquise Brown OVER 58.5 receiving yards (-115 CAESARS) — Vikings corners are very beatable, and they won’t have their best pass-rusher in Danielle Hunter. Brown should get on struggling CB Breshad Breeland for at least one big play in this one, and he could even hit this prop on only 1-2 catches.
Bryan Edwards OVER 42.5 receiving yards (-115 DK) — I’m going for it with a beatable matchup.
Brandin Cooks OVER 4.5 catches (-141 CAESARS) — Love Cooks this week, great matchup.
Devonta Freeman OVER 29.5 rushing yards (-114 FD) — No Lat Murray, and DT Pierce is out for Minnesota.
Kyle Pitts (UNDER) 63.5 receiving yards (-114 FD) — I think they will put Marshawn Lattimore on him so it’s going to be hard for him to get to 64 yards.
Travis Kelce (UNDER) 6.5 receptions (-125 CAESARS) — He’s not really the problem, but his health is in question, and his QB is still struggling.
Cole Kmet (OVER) 2.5 receptions (-149 CAESARS) — He’s been active as an underneath option, so I’d think he’ll get 3 grabs.
Darnell Mooney (OVER) 42.5 receiving yards (-114 FD) — He’s the top guy here and the Steeler secondary is hardly a shutdown secondaty.
