Thursday Night Football

C.J. Uzomah finished in the top-10 in TE routes (31) last week and he finished with 4/45 receiving on five targets in Joe Burrow’s first game. The Browns just allowed 5/58/2 receiving to Mark Andrews last week in their first game without Joe Schobert patrolling the middle of the field. I’ll take Uzomah over 21.5 receiving yards (100 pts). I’m also looking at Nick Chubb over 81.5 rushing + receiving yards (100 pts) on Thursday night with DTs Geno Atkins and Mike Daniels set to miss this week. This week’s game script should be much more conducive for plenty of Chubb carries this week. — Tom Brolley

A.J. Green just missed having a big day on Sunday, drawing a controversial OPI call in the endzone, as well as a shaky Joe Burrow missing an open Green on a few other instances. What was more encouraging than the almost-TD was the 25% target share Green saw from Burrow. The rookie QB faced a tough Chargers defense with two top notch corners, but the Browns are down two corners in Greedy Williams and Kevin Johnson. I’ll take that 25% target share to an All-Pro receiver against backup CBs all day. Give me the Over 53.5 receiving yards for A.J. Green, please. -- Justin Varnes

Sunday Games

I’m expecting the Buccaneers offense to perform much better in Tom Brady’s second week as the new quarterback. The offense should be a little more in sync with a game under their belts, but they’ll mostly perform better because they’re taking a major step down in competition after playing a tough Saints defense last week. The Panthers defense once again couldn’t defend the run last week when they gave up 25/93/3 rushing to Josh Jacobs, and even a back like Ronald Jones should clear 55.5 rushing yards. I’ll be correlating that pick with Tom Brady under 285.5 passing yards since I think Jones and Leonard Fournette should do whatever they want on the ground against the Panthers. A couple more picks I’m eyeing up from this week’s Props Lobby: Marquise Brown over 49.5 receiving yards, Adam Thielen over 67.5 receiving yards, and Calvin Ridley over 66.5 receiving yards. Good luck! — Tom Brolley

I think the Chiefs will roll over the Chargers and not have to do much work in the second half, so I’m taking the under on Patrick Mahomes 303.5 passing yards. The game script here should be sort of similar to the Week 1 opener where the Chiefs built a big lead early and Mahomes only had to throw it 32 times. Clyde Edwards-Helaire will likely see another 20+ carries as Kansas City controls the game. I’m also looking at the over on Josh Allen’s 260.5 total yardage (passing + rushing) prop. Coming off a career-high 312 passing yards in Week 1, Allen finds himself in another great spot against a Miami team he’s crushed in his career. In four career starts against the Dolphins, Allen has dropped 366, 319, 234, and 312 total yards. Miami’s secondary is improved, but Allen should have no problem having another huge game against this man-based defense. It’s much easier for quarterbacks to scramble against man coverage and the Dolphins played man at the league’s highest rate last week (71%). — Graham Barfield

I’m taking Derrick Henry over 115.5 rushing + receiving yards. The Titans are going to feed Henry all day long with WR AJ Brown (knee) out and Corey Davis (hamstring) dinged up. Rookie backup Darryton Evans isn’t expected to make his debut until Week 3. I think this is a big Henry and Jonnu Smith game. Henry’s cleared 170 yards from scrimmage in two of his last three games against Jacksonville, including his famous 17/238/4 rushing game in 2018. — Joe Dolan

I like Josh Allen over 260.5 passing + rushing yards. What am I missing here? In four games against the Dolphins in his career, Allen has averaged 308 yards per game passing + rushing, with three games over 300 and just one under this total. Allen played one of the best games of his life last week, and the Bills’ improved supporting cast in 2020 is the most dangerous in the AFC East. Miami’s secondary is good, but Allen is feeling it right now. — Joe Dolan
