Ahhhhh, it’s finally here, Week 1. With so many unknowns due to COVID, and no preseason games, you can gain a bit of an edge by the somewhat predictability of the weather. Notice I said somewhat… Over the next 17 weeks, we will do our best to keep you ahead of any potential weather headaches that may help your season long or DFS teams gain that bit of an edge. Check back Sunday mornings for any major meteorological updates that may impact the games!
1pm Games
Seattle at Atlanta: Inside Mercedes- Benz Stadium
New York Jets at Buffalo: Mostly cloudy and breezy at Bills Stadium, with high temps in the lower 70s. Rain chances around 70%, with winds S 12-18 mph.
Bottom line: A few showers and a little bit of wind shouldn’t be enough to cause any major issues on the field.
Chicago at Detroit: Inside Ford Field.
Green Bay at Minnesota: Inside U.S. Bank Stadium
Miami at New England: A beautiful day to play football at Gillette Stadium, with partly cloudy skies and high temps in the mid 70s. Winds south 5-8 mph.
Philadelphia at Washington: Partly sunny with a small chance of a shower at Fed Ex field. High temps in the lower 80s, with east winds 5-8 mph.
Las Vegas at Carolina: Mostly cloudy at Bank of America Stadium, with a 20% chance of a shower. High temps in the lower 80s, with winds ENE 5-8 mph.
Indianapolis at Jacksonville: An onshore wind flow will likely bring scattered showers to TIAA Bank Field. Rain chances will be around 80%, with high temps in the upper 80s. East winds 5-10 mph.
Bottom Line: The tropical system will be in the Gulf, and far away from Jacksonville. So typical scattered showers are expected.
Cleveland at Baltimore: Partly sunny at M&T Bank Stadium, with a slight chance of a shower. High temps in the lower 80s, with east winds 5-8 mph.
4pm Games
Los Angeles Chargers at Cincinnati: With any luck, the showers forecasted for Paul Brown Stadium earlier in the day should be gone. Mostly cloudy skies with a 60% chance of showers is expected. Game temps will dip back into the 70s, with west winds 5-10 mph.
Tampa Bay at New Orleans: Inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome
Arizona at San Francisco: Due to the haze. From the nearby fires, air quality may be a bit poor. I have heard of a possible postponement, so please check before kickoff. Partly sunny with a game time temp in the upper 70s at Levi’s Stadium. NW winds 5-10 mph.
Bottom Line: Poor air quality can lead to breathing difficulties during the game. Let’s monitor pre-game reports to make sure some players don’t sit this one out at the last minute.
Sunday Night Football
Dallas at Los Angeles Rams: Mostly cloudy with game time temps falling into the 70s at SoFi Stadium. Winds SW 5-10 mph.
Monday Night Football
Pittsburgh at New York Giants: Clear skies at MetLife Stadium, with temps falling into the 60s during the game. NW winds 5-10 mph.
Tennessee at Denver: Clear skies are expected at Empower Field at Mile High, with temps quickly falling into the 60s. Light winds are expected.
