Dynasty Insider

Running Back

JK Dobbins, BAL: Despite his obvious talent, Dobbins is only averaging 7 carries and 8.9 touches per game. Because of this, you might be able to steal him away from a frustrated fantasy owner. While his role this season has been frustrating, keep in mind that he took over as their main RB before he was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, which he just came off of a few days ago.

Dobbins will almost certainly be their main RB next year, so go get him now.

Cam Akers, LAR: Unfortunately, it has been a struggle for him this season and he has been mired in a RBBC. And his early-season injury (ribs in Week 2) didn’t help.

However, let's keep in mind Akers was drafted to be a 3-down RB and that should happen next season. He badly needs a full off-season of work (OTAs, training camp, pre-season).

Zack Moss, BUF: He dealt with a lingering toe injury for several weeks, so Moss got off to a slow start, but at least he's evened himself up with 2nd-year RB Devin Singletary.

Moss is a better fit for their running game than Singletary. So look for him to take over the starting job next year.

La’Mical Perine, NYJ: He's on IR and wasn't used enough before he got hurt, but with better coaching next season, the team will be able to take advantage of Perine's versatility.

Benny Snell, PIT: If James Conner isn't re-signed, Snell would likely be the next man up. And the coaches like his downhill running style.

A.J. Dillon, GB: His rookie season has been a washout, but Dillon could factor heavily next season and beyond if the team does not re-sign RBs Aaron Jones or Jamaal Williams.

Wide Receiver

Michael Pittman, IND: He got off to a very slow start and then had leg surgery, which helped to curtail the first half of his rookie season. However, since returning from his surgery, Pittman has shown that he's going to be a factor as their "X" WR for now and the future. Because his numbers have been up and down in the 2nd half, you might be able to steal him away for a decent price.

Gabriel Davis, BUF: The team loves him and while he hasn't put up big numbers, Davis has already shown he can handle a variety of roles (X, Z) in their passing game. He has a good chance to be their starting "X" WR next season over veteran John Brown.

Bryan Edwards, LV: He was dealing with a high ankle sprain for several weeks, so he has been trying to make up for lost time. Edwards was drafted to be their "X" WR and that will happen beginning next year. You might as well go get him now when he should be cheap to acquire.

Jalen Reagor, PHI: It has been a struggle for him as Reagor has battled 2 different injuries which have contributed to a disappointing season. And it doesn't help that his QB has been struggling mightily. He'll benefit from better coaching and a lot more work with Carson Wentz starting in next year's OTAs. Reagor will eventually be one of the better "Z" WRs, but it's going to take some time.

Denzel Mims, NYJ: He missed just about all of training camp injuries to both hamstrings, but Mims has shown to be a big-play WR (16.7 yards per catch).

Henry Ruggs, LV: He has been surprisingly quiet this season and he has dealt with some minor injuries along the way. However, Ruggs will be a big factor in the future as the team figures out a better way to get the ball in his hands.

Darius Slayton, NYG: He has only had a small handful of good games this season, but that's because the timing has been off between him and QB Daniel Jones. They'll get that fixed in the next off-season.

K.J. Hamler, DEN: As one of the top speed threats for this year's NFL Draft, Hamler is incredibly explosive. He just has to show that he can stay healthy and he'll also benefit from a full off-season of work.

Andy Isabella, ARI: He'll take over their slot position as early as next season and he's a vertical threat from that area.

Josh Reynolds, LAR: He likely will be starting for another team next season and Reynolds has intriguing size and speed for the position.

Quintez Cephus, DET: He could start as early as next season if the team does not re-sign veteran WR Marvin Jones. Cephus was one of the smartest rookie WRs for this year's NFL Draft.

Tre'Quan Smith, Marquez Callaway, NO: One of them will start eventually for veteran WR Emmanuel Sanders.

Tight Ends

Dallas Goedert, PHI: The Eagles drafted him to eventually replace veteran TE Zach Ertz and that should happen next season. Goedert's talent is obvious and he could easily be a top-5 to top-7 TE if the coaches do a better job of getting him the ball.

Noah Fant, DEN: He does get hurt a lot and QB Drew Lock has been inconsistent, but Fant is a mismatch for defenses. He'll easily be a top-10 TE for the future if relatively healthy.

Cole Kmet, CHI: He's taking over the starting job now over veteran Jimmy Graham and the team is very high on him for the future.

Adam Trautman, NO: He's the future at the position and with Sean Payton calling the plays, Troutman could be a big piece of the passing game starting as early as next season.

Dawson Knox, BUF: He's dealt with a bunch of injuries this season, but the 2nd-year pro is a vertical threat and the team remains very high on him.

Week 13 Notes

Players no longer listed on the Injury Report

Note: These are players who were recently on the injury report for at least 2 straight weeks…

RB Kenyan Drake, ARI (ankle): He has not been listed on the injury report for the past 2 weeks after being listed on it for Weeks 9, 10 (he got hurt in Week 7, team had a bye in Week 8).

RB Raheem Mostert, SF (high ankle): He came off IR last week and came out last week's game well enough to not be listed on the injury report this week.

RB Austin Ekeler, LAC (hamstring, knee): Like Mostert, he came off IR last week and is not listed on the injury report this week. That's a really good sign considering the volume of touches he had last week (25).

WR Davante Adams, GB (ankle): After being listed on the injury report for weeks 11, 12, Adams was not listed on the injury report this week.

WR Sammy Watkins, KC (calf, hamstring): This was the first week that the veteran WR was not listed on the injury report for Week 5.

TE Noah Fant (ribs, high ankle), DEN: For the first time since Week 9, Fant was not listed on the injury report. However, the last time previous to Week 9 that he wasn't listed on the injury report was Week 4.

CIN-MIA

Dolphins: The team is down to just a few players at RB: Salvon Ahmed (shoulder-doubtful) and DeAndre Washington (hamstring-doubtful) are not expected to play and Matt Breida was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Starter Myles Gaskin (MCL sprain) was activated off IR on Saturday, so he'll play. FB/RB Patrick Laird and rookie RB/WR Malcolm Perry (chest-questionable) will back up Gaskin.

The team ran out RBs on their practice squad, so they're down to just those 3 listed above.

DET-CHI

Lions: Rookie WR D'Andre Swift (illness) was downgraded from questionable to doubtful, so it will be Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson handling the bulk of the carries again.

The team still wants to take a look at RB Jonathan Williams, but he was added to the team's injury report (hip-questionable) after Saturday's walk-through.

Bears: As noted here last week, the team was going to upgrade rookie TE Cole Kmet's role and they did just that (season-high 54 snaps).

The team feels that he was one of the best all-around players at his position for this year's NFL Draft and he could be more involved in the passing game going forward. He did drop a TD pass last week against the host Packers.

Rinse, repeat: The team will try to take some deep shots here if they can protect the QB. They did so last week against the Packers, but 2 of those passes from Mitch Trubisky were picked off.

CLE-TEN

Titans: While we all know that the Titans want to come out running the ball, but they'll have success when they throw it if they can block Browns DE Myles Garrett.

Browns CB Denzel Ward (calf) is out again and they simply are average or less than average with what's left at the position.

TE Jonnu Smith (knee-out) should play next week, but slot WR Adam Humphries (concussion) is set to play after missing several games.

He and TE Anthony Firkser will help the team on 3rd down.

JAX-MIN

Jaguars: Starting WR D.J. Chark (ribs) was cleared for contact and took in his usual starters reps on Friday.

Vikings: RB Alexander Mattison (illness-out) was added to the injury report on Saturday. RBs Mike Boone and Ameer Abdullah will back up Dalvin Cook (ankle).

Cook took his normal reps on Friday and does not carry an injury designation for the game.

TE Irv Smith (back) is out, so veteran TE Kyle Rudolph will handle the receiving role at the position again. He's coming off of his most targeted game (8).

LV-NYJ

Raiders: Too many fill-in RBs have come up small this season, but Devontae Booker will get his chance today against the Jets.

While the Jets have been respectable against the run (3.8 yards per carry), Booker still should have a big role today.

HC Jon Gruden believes in volume running and Booker is capable of handling a big workload.

IND-HOU

Colts: The team will get two key defenders back today (DE Denico Autry, DT DeForest Buckner), but starting OLB Bobby Okereke (ankle) is out. Still, getting the two DLs back should be a big boost for their fantasy defense.

With Texan CB Bradley Roby suspended for the rest of the season, teams will go after CBs Vernon Hargreaves and Phillip Gaines, who are known as average for their position, which is good news if you have T.Y. Hilton or Michael Pittman on your fantasy rosters.

Texans: While the team has 5 WRs on their active roster, only 2 of them (Brandin Cooks, Keke Coutee) have caught a pass from QB Deshaun Watson this season.

Because of that, TE Jordan Akins, who dropped two TD passes last week, should see an increased role in the passing game going forward.

Akins was known as one of the vertical TEs for the 2018 NFL Draft.

PHI-GB

Eagles: The team "elevated" RB Jordan Howard from their practice squad and he's expected to have a role behind starter Miles Sanders today. The reason why the team added Howard for this week's game is that he and Sanders played a big part in last year's win at the Packers.

Howard (15-87-2, 3-28-1) and Sanders (11-72) vs GB last year, could be the tandem going forward if it works today, which means Boston Scott could be relegated only to some passing situations.

WAS-PIT

Washington: On WR Terry McLaurin (ankle-questionable), my understanding on his injury is that he's dealing with a "mild" high ankle sprain, but he's expected to play Monday at the Steelers, barring a setback in pregame warm-ups. He was added to the injury report after Friday’s practice, but took in his usual reps on Saturday. He did a great job playing with the injury last week and tracked down a defender after a turnover.
